Justification Clermontia multiflora was endemic to the islands of Maui and O`ahu, Hawaii. This species has been recorded from two locations on West Maui, and one location in the Koolau Mountains of O`ahu. All specimens were collected prior to 1871.
Habitat and Ecology A shrub 2-4 m tall. It was probably found in wet forests.

There is some possibility that the species still persists, particularly on poorly explored West Maui. Potential threats include pigs and alien plants.
