This species is endemic to the Santa Catalina Mountains in Arizona. It was named in 1890; there are no recent collections or observations. This is not the same entity as Streptanthus lemmonii (S. Wats) Jepson, which some consider a synonym of Caulanthus lemmonii or Guillenia lemmonii, a California endemic.
