Seems that Aloe canis survives at least in cultivation.
From the above source:
Thirty-six years later, in 2001, Stewart S. Lane (1936–) described A. canis Lane from material collected in the Senga Hills by Theo Campbell-Barker. This plant is only known from a few cultivated specimens and could not be relocated in the wild (Lane, 2001; Lane et al., 2003; Lane, 2004).
