Hello !
Mammillaria aff. columbiana is known from one specimen in an herbarium.
This cactus was found in the Cockpit Country of Jamaica.
It is now known that this was an endemic species for Jamaica and not a member of the species M. columbiana, which may in fact be its closest relative.
M. columbiana has pink flowers, while those of M. aff. columbiana are or were yellow.
The Cockpit Country was often searched for this cactus, but it was never found again since the type collection was taken.

This plant is now called Mammillaria jamaicensis.
Plants seem to be in cultivation, so it must be considered extinct in the wild.
