Justification:
This species has an area of occupancy of 9.9856 km2 and is found in 1 location where the threat is from habitat conversion for agriculture. There is a continuing decline in the extent and quality of habitat. Given that this species has not been recollected in 112 years despite significant surveying in the area, this species may be possibly extinct.

Population: Three are no population size estimates available for this species however, this species is probably genuinely rare as there has been intensive surveying of the area and this species has not been collected again.

Habitat and Ecology: A shrub reaching 4-5m. Found in shady forest on decomposing granitic soil with a thick humus layer.
