Justification:
Bulbophyllum tampoketsense has an area of occupancy (AOO) of 9 km2 and occurs in only one subpopulation, representing one location. This species is not present within protected areas and it experiences continuing decline due to illicit collection and deforestation. It is therefore assessed as Critically Endangered and is Possibly Extinct as it was last seen in the wild in 1923. Further field research is recommended for the species.

Range Description: This species is endemic to Madagascar where it grows in the province of Antananarivo at elevations of 1,500 to 1,999 m asl (Hermans et al. 2007).
