Assessor(s): Rabarimanarivo, M. & Ravololomanana, N.
Reviewer(s): Rajaonary, F. & Faranirina, L.
Contributor(s): Andriambololonera, S.
Justification:
The species has a restricted range with an estimated area of occupancy of 9 km² where it is present in one location. The only known subpopulation does not occur inside protected area and experiences continuing decline due to negative impacts in its habitat from agriculture, water management and climate change (drying up of lake). It is therefore assessed as Critically Endangered. Further field research and monitoring for this species is recommended.
