Hi !
I would like to know if this species or another one may have grown also on Mangareva itself.

Well, Fitchia is a very interesting genus with a very wide but disjunct range. Any of the 6 species is monotypic. The only species in the Gambier Islands was Fitchia mangarevensis and that only on Taravai which is interestingly only 1.5 km from Mangareva. But i haven't found any evidence that these species also occured on Mangareva.
